Potters Bar is a town in Hertfordshire, located 17 miles north of central London.Near to the M25 and A1(M) motorways meet (known as South Mimms). The rail links into London kings Cross, which makes Potters Bar a good location for commuters. History The town started life in the early 13th century and remained a small settlement until the arrival of the Great Northern Railway in 1850 when it became a dormitory town for locals who worked in London. Potters Bar was located on the Great North Road, one of two road routes from the City of London to the north of England.
